Jim Miller has good news — if you’re an obstructionist:
An average of 59% of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents have said they are more enthusiastic than usual about voting this year…
They’re also 97% more pushy about demanding to see President Obama’s long-form birth certificate.
Most, more because they are appalled by what the Democrats are doing, than because they are enthusiastic about their own party.
When your own base, and likely supporters too, are not enthusiastic about your own party, that’s a sure path to political win.
But any political consultant will tell you that the most determined voters are usually those who are voting against, rather than those who are voting for.
“Most determined,” not “most votes,” now wins any election Jim Miller officiates.
And I think, though I haven’t done a formal survey, that the Republican candidates for Congress are stronger — on the whole — this year than they were in 2006 and 2008.
Dave Reichert is so much more totally awesome now.
Well, let’s hope that enthusiasm leads to a Didier victory.

In the primary, of course…
Jim Miller! Oy! A formal survey…
Was he a pollster before retirement?
I have fond memories of his theory of “distributed vote fraud”, i.e. Democrats do it more than Republicans. He said it would cost a million dollars to prove it.
I immediately thought – here we have an application for wingnut welfare. Imagine the “Distributed Vote Fraud” project at EFF.. No more outlandish than PooperScooper Scott as an “investigative journalist” I suppose.
